We Al-Rahma
Trading & Pharmaceutical Company located in the city of
Aden, in the southern region of the Republic of Yemen.
The company was established in 1992. During our initial
stages, there were no restrictions and regulations
pertaining to imports, which facilitated our medicinal
importations from India. The favourable business
conditions of those early days resulted in impressive
growth. For example, the very first year of operation
reached an annual turnover of $300,000. The surplus
profit helped set up offices, sales branches across the
country. So much so that it has now become one of the
biggest and fastest growing business corporations in the
Republic of Yemen. The latest annual report shows the
turnover to be greater than $6 million, nearly 18 times
the turnover of the first year. This stupendous growth
rate has also enabled us to import from countries like
the UAE, Oman, Syria, the UK and Germany, in addition to
India.
Our
management always endeavours to have dealings with only
the best in class suppliers and manufacturers so that
the Yemeni consumer can avail of quality medications at
very affordable prices. We are committed to achieving
this goal through earnest dedication to the cause and
adoption of ethical business practices. Recently, we
moved our central operations to the country’s capital
Sana’a so as to gain easier communicability with our
business associates. To facilitate our consumers
further, we have expanded our distribution network
across the length and breadth of the country, including
such key cities as Taiz, Hodaida, Mukalla, Seiyun and
Ibb on top of our existing offices in Sana’a and Aden.
Our organization takes
pride in its human resources, which is a key factor in
its success. Our dedicated team members make optimum
use of our infrastructure and finances in order to
expedite the process of consumption. Our marketing
division consists of seventy qualified Medical
Representatives who report to six country managers. The
processes adopted for marketing and distribution are
some of the robust in the pharmaceuticals trade. To
support our basic marketing team, a separate sales team
is formed that concentrates exclusively on OTC products,
which by the way are important and major revenue
generators for the company. The company is constantly
on the look-out for strategic business opportunities and
partnerships across the globe so that the quality and
quantity of our products manifests ever greater
standards.
